Asher’s Big Moment: Featured on Planet Money

This summer, Asher had an incredible experience while at camp. The team from NPR’s Planet Money podcast visited the camp for a full week, interviewing many of the campers. Asher was interviewed multiple times and was thrilled to be a part of it. He eagerly waited for the episode to air, and the excitement when it finally did was unforgettable!

It’s such a proud moment for us, and we’re excited to share this milestone with you. Here’s the episode—give it a listen and hear Asher’s voice in action!

A First Resume for Junior Achievement BizTown

Asher is getting ready to participate in Junior Achievement’s BizTown.  The educational program is designed to immerse children in a simulated economy where they act as workers, consumers, and citizens.

The students at BizTown will take on various jobs, manage finances through activities like banking, and learn about the dynamics of supply and demand. They also develop essential soft skills like communication and teamwork, crucial for future career success.

Last year he was the CEO of POA and he tells us he’s going for CEO, CFO and Bank Teller at Unitus Credit Union.  Wish him luck! 🙂

Below is his resume he’s bringing to the interviews.

Eugene

We’ve gone to 2 or 3 track meets in Eugene each year the last 3 or 4 years.  We have seen the US Nationals, Olympic Trials, World Championships, the Prefontaine Classic.  We have seen amazing peformances including world records in the shot put, the 400m hurdles, the pole vault, the 2 mile, the American record mile.  On this weekend we doubled our events and took in a Ducks football game.  The ducks are a perennial top 10 team in college football.
